RPL 2010 Format Information

Schedule: RPL events are two day tournaments.
Friday: Registration Open and Fields available to be walked at noon.
Saturday: 5-Player Division AA, AAA and Open and 3-Player AAA and AA play their preliminary games.
Sunday:  3-Player Beginner and Intermediate play all their games. Finals for all 5-Player and 3-Player Divisions

Captains' Meetings:
Saturday 7am: All 5-player teams
Saturday 12:00pm: 3-player AA and AAA teams
Sunday 10:00am: 3-player Beginner and Intermediate teams

Divisions: All events separate Beginner, Intermediate, AAA, AA, and Open teams into different divisions.  Team seeding within a bracket is based on overall circuit ranking, how many squads each team enters, and geographical relationships. For the First event of the season the ranking will be alphabetical and we will try to not put sister teams into the same bracket.

Games: Depending on the number of entries and the size of the brackets, teams will play between three and four matches (six to twelve games) in the opening round.  Teams will be place in a bracket of either four or five teams.
All matches are best 2 out of 3 games.
At least the top team in each bracket moves on to the next round. Sometimes the top two or three teams will move on to the next round pending total team counts in the division.

Win / Loss / Tie: All games are either Win, Loss or Tie. To win the game a team must eliminate all the opposing team and hang the flag. If the flag is not hung in the time limit, the game is considered a tie.

Game Times: 5 minutes for 5-Player. 3 minutes for 3-Player

Rules: We will be using modified 2008 NPPL 5-player rules

Modifications: (Please check RPL 2010 Rule Book for all rule modifications)

Breakout Board:
Beginner, Intermediate and AAA teams break out anywhere on the back line
AA and Open teams break out from a start gate

Gun Rules:
All guns must be set to semi-auto only

Prizes: Will be given for 1st-4th in every division as well as many raffle prizes given out at all events.

Referees: The RPL employs professional referees that do not compete in the league.  In most cases these will be players from Professional teams.
